The path 85b is a short section that connects the path n. 85 with the road between Parchiule and Borgo Pace. The route starts immediately behind the hamlet of Sant’Andrea, on the hydrographic right of the stream. After a while the path begins to climb, until it reaches the Torre di Sant’Andrea, one of the several watchtowers in the Auro valley. From there, it continues towards the ridge, where the route joins to the path n.85. You can go on for few hundred meters until you reach the ruins of Caresto, an ancient settlement near which there are ponds with newts and different species of dragonflies.
